I am from Germany and i've heard that snipering is not legal for ebay in Germany.
Is it possible that ebay finds out that somebody is snipering? If yes, how?

I don't know if it's illegal or not but I have been sniped many times on German sites. 
To expand on my first comment... I think I PO'D some overseas friends when I bid on and won several auctions on German sites. I didn't even snipe! They were all BINS (12). When I proxied some auctions, I was sniped by German snipers, at least it seemed that way, they bid in the last secs. The same thing happened on a Belgium site, that's when I decided I needed the help of AS. I seem to do OK on the Italian sites tho. 
I don't think the Germans can do anything about manual snipes. Their objection lies with the use of sniping software programs like AS.
OK, how do they know whether it's manual or auto? Would it be by the address of the server that did the sniping? ie, my confirmed address posted with eBay? 
Let me ask some more on this subject. I have snipes set up for some German/Netherland sites. Will my bids be cancelled if I use AS?
