Sniping in Germany

I realise that this topic has been raised before but I would like to ask whether anybody has had any recent experience with snipes on German auctions.
Supposedly ebay banned sniping on its auctions in Germany. Is this enforced? Are snipes coming from AS servers being rejected?Can anybody comment based on practical experience?
I am interested in an item ending at a time when I am not able to manually snipe. Of course I could put in a proxy bid but as we all know, using AS has its advantages.

Hey there, I'm using AS since a long time now, almost exclusively on ebay.de auctions.
It works fine, I never experienced that a snipe was rejected by ebay.

However, there are a couple of flaws (not critical, but annoying):

- Umlauts always look weird in MySnipes
- Saved Seraches (new!) don't serach ebay.de
- If you click on an Item to be sniped, you get that item shown on ebay.com. That works well, but the UI is english. AS should allow setting a "default ebay edition" to customers.
