I sure do not know. But, I too just use the watch it feature on ebay. Then if I want to snipe it I just use the import feature from my snipes page.
I do not do that often. Only if I am just courious what price something is selling for, then I watch it. If I think I will really want this item. I do snipe it, I can always cancel my snipe up to a couple of minutes before the auction closes.
But to each his own quirks.

VERY GOOD. That never occurred to me. It takes it with 0, but does that mean it will try to place the snipe with 0? It should. Cleaver. The heck with a 0 bid group.

The quantity in a bid group determines whether or not to place a bid. Changing quantity to zero should prevent a bid.
The quantity in a snipe determines how many to bid on. (a bid is placed) Since this is not a dutch auction, the quantity may be ignored!
I would test this on something you don't mind winning.

The auction doesn't end for another four days. If the bid doesn't go out of my range, I'll test it and report back. If I win, great, if I lose, oh, well, it's not a rare item.
I've got this one set up. If there are no other bidders, my bid (if any) should get recorded, but the bidder raised their own already winning bid, so I should lose the auction.

I just tested it with a 0 quantity and AS placed the snipe. Still, very creative thinking, but looks like AS is a little more creative.

Thanks for verifying! That's good to know -- it didn't make sense to me to even HAVE a quantity field unless you're dealing with Dutch, so I thought that might be why it was there. (Yes, I know, it's a multi-use form.)
I would LOVE it if eBay would let you group things on the Watch list, or add comments, or color code, or ANYTHING like that. But they don't, which is why I was using AS for it. But now that my bid-group is done, I'll just have to use that folder instead.
