Snipe it Now button isn't pre-filling auction number

Same problem here - since yesterday!

Black screen of death with error message five billion and one.

Only solution - re-install of Windows XP Professional.

Result - "Snipe it now" link works but doesn't fill number in. Same computer and system as before, so the alteration must be in the AS coding.

I am having exactly the same problem: new laptop with Windows XP Professional, worked fine on previous machines, now won't fill in eBay item number. Anyone have a workaround? Thanks. John Whitney

Has anyone filled a complaint about this? It appears that AS is ignoring this serious s/w problem. What a pain in the Bidz!!

Quick update on this. Snipe it Now functionality is still working correctly, except that the javascript that is on the SIN help page is currently incorrect.

For anyone who added the SIN link from that page over the past couple of weeks (i.e., anyone with a new computer, new users, etc), you'll need to edit the properties on your SIN link and change the javascript in the URL to be:

javascript:void(win=window.open('http://www.auctionsniper.com/snipeit/snipeit.aspx?from=.page'+location.href, 'SnipeItNow', 'width=450,height=230,resizable=0,scrollbars=no,menubar=no,status=no'))

The site has been updated as well, so new people will get the correct javascript. Since the site has been updated, you could also just deleted the SIN link from your browser and re-add it using the updated SIN help page.

Sorry about the confusion with all of this. It took us a bit to figure out what was wrong, as when we tested, we still had the correct javascript and it was working fine. Ack!

Anyway, thanks for pointing things out to us. Let me know if you have any problems still getting this to work after replacing your javascript.

All is well and it works as it should!

Since having to re-install Windows I have had a full time job sorting out all the things I've lost! (No complete backup - as usual!)

So a quick response to this small problem was most welcome.
