We are currently receiving reports from several customers indicating that they are unable to add snipes on certain items listed on non-US eBay sites that offer shipping and payment methods that are not available on eBay US, UK, or AU. The root cause of this is that eBay recently changed their system so that such items cannot be viewed through the eBay.com, eBay.co.uk, and eBay.com.au domains.

Our engineering team is currently evaluating this situation and plotting out what can be done from our end to make it so our system can be used to reliably add snipes on these items once again. I'm not sure when we'll be able to get a solution for this in place, but I'll post again to this thread when I have some additional details about that.

Some users have reported that they are sometimes able to add snipes on these items by trying again after the “Cannot find item” error message is returned the first time, so that may be worth trying if you would like. This suggests that eBay’s behavior with respect to displaying theses auctions through the domains we check is not entirely consistent yet.

Upon further investigation, we found that the code we had developed to allow snipes to be placed on items that would not show up on the eBay.com domain but would show up on the eBay.co.uk domain had broken, and we just released a solution to that problem tonight.

As a result of this change, you should now be able to add snipes on any items that can be viewed on the eBay.com, eBay.co.uk, or eBay.com.au domains. If you find that you are unable to add a snipe on an item that can be viewed on one of these three domains, please let us know by contacting our customer support team.

There are still situations where our system may not be able to add snipes on items that are posted on a different non-US eBay site that cannot be displayed on the eBay.com, eBay.co.uk, or eBay.com.au domains due to the payment methods or shipping options they are offering though.

We are still looking into what it will take to make it so our system can support snipes on ALL non-US eBay items and I will update this thread as more information becomes available about that. Thanks again for understanding!
