If you have not changed your password and/or ID at eBay there is one other possibility.

If someone tries to hack into your account at eBay, they add an additional layer of security that AS can't handle. After you enter ID and password at eBay, you are asked an additional security question. It may be hard to tell if this is what happened, because (as I understand it) this is reset every night. Try signing into eBay and see if that works OK.

Come back to AS.
Click My Snipes --> Modify Account --> Enter and verify password.

If ID and password does not match AS will tell you, If it does match you will be taken to My Snipes and you should be good to go.

I changed my ebay userid about a year ago, could that be affecting it?
Yes, but only if you signed up with AS before your ID and password change. You must sign in using your original ID and password, then go to modify account and change it to match your current eBay info.

You can find your original ID on eBay with an ID history search. Click on 'ID history' from your feedback page to get your old ID. Come back to AS and click on 'Forgot Password' on the signon screen. (if you still use your original email address)

That's probably not the problem since you are trying to 'register' and not just signing in. You are clicking on 'Join' to register and not trying to signin without becomeing a member first... Right?

Another option is to ask for help at:

be sure to give them your current ID and password you are trying to use.

...and WELCOME to the forum.

Hi, kt!

I had a similar problem several times over the last couple of weeks with AS not wanting to let me in, saying I was invalid, even a snipe or two not being placed, etc.

In my particular case, it turned out to be a problem with my browser rejecting cookies. (Whatever that means - something about my computer remembering and recognizing info for places I want to interact with. Sorry for my ignorance.)

Anyway, AS can help you sort it out, but it seems they are having other struggles at the moment, so it might take a bit. Something quite buggy is happening that is NOT typical of how AS works. I know eBay had a MAJOR snafu the other day (everything zeroed out for hours!) which may have affected AuctionSniper's functionality. Or, perhaps eBay was down to make changes, which AS now needs to adjust for.

In any case, hang in there! AS is normally great, and will be for you soon, as well.
