I placed a snipe for an item and opted for 4 seconds before it ends.

What happened? My bid appeared at least 40 seconds before the end of the auction!! There was only one opponent against me and before my bid, his highest bid was £22. If this stupid snipe done what i paid it to do, i would have paid £23 for this as 4 seconds wouldn't have given them enough time to counter, but no, they had enough time to enter another 5 bids which bumped the price up to £38.

Any suggestions for other snipe sites as i'm not using this again?

I'm not cutting off my nose. What could they do? Apologies don't refund the difference?

Obviously you're happy with auctionsniper and fair play to you. For me, they didn't bid as per my request and subsequently i had to pay almost double so i have a gripe.

I'm not being dramatic, i just don't have faith that they'll put the snipe on when i ask and for me, that's why i used this service.
You go where you think you’ll get the best bang for the buck - that’s free enterprise. Using the resources of one company to locate a competitive service – that’s abusive. Nothing prevents one from asking, and nothing prevents another from moderating out such info.

In any event, why would one feel they would get an objective answer? The regulars, such as myself and region2, are obviously bias. But, then one needs to question the irregulars’ motivation. Why would they post a competitive service? They might work for them (they’re bias). They might be pissed at AS (they’re REALLY bias, and would recommend ANYONE). And, when one thinks about it, why would someone that would refer a competitive service, which hopefully means they actually use that service, be hanging out on this forum waiting for someone to come by and ask for a referral? Why? Because they are REALLY PISSED AT AS. All in all, one is not going to get a impartial response. There are other methods, which if one gives the devotion of even a few brains cells could come up with. After all, did everyone that decided to use AS sign onto the forum (if there are any) of a competitive service and ask for a referral?

Excellent, Jason! Seeing that you've clicked "Notify me of New Posts by Rick", just click "Add Rick to my Buddies" and you'll be added to my ever decreasing fan club. What ever you do, DON'T click "Add Rick to my Ignore List". That's already been tried and was a complete failure.
