My first bid for item #6700002367 (ebay Germany)
was placed today more than one hour before the end of the auction. My highest bid with auction sniper was € 3,68.
Of course I was outbid after some minutes, since this bid was clearly placed too early.
Since it was impossible to log into auction sniper at this time, I placed a higher bid of € 6,19 manually a few seconds before the auction ended. I won with the amount of € 5,52.
A few minutes ago, I received a winning email from auction sniper.
I want to state clearly, that this winning item was NOT won by using auction sniper, but with manual bidding. Therefore I want NOT to be charged the fee for this item.
What can I do?
Is this correct, that they want me to pay for this auction?
Thanks,
Loretta

Yes, I agree in this case it does seem unfair.

People would snipe manually and use AS as backup insurance, thinking they would only pay a fee if something went wrong with their manual bid.

I know it's the 'principal' of the matter and every penny counts, but it *IS* only 25 cents and those other bids might have been the same even if your bid were not placed early. If that's true, you would have lost the auction.

File with support and state your case. The worse that can happen is they will say 'Sorry, No.' Support is on the help page, very bottom.
