I noticed on the "tell a friend" page of Auction Sniper you can auto-generate a link to use on a web page (Snipe this item! logo).

I've read through the eBay policies on including links and it states: "Prohibited links include, but are not limited to: ... Links that encourage buyers to place their eBay bids through a site other than eBay"

Sounds like this eBay policy applies to the Auciton Sniper link. Or, am I wrong about this?

Is this link to be used in an actual eBay auction listing? Has anyone here used it for this purpose? Did you get a smack on the wrist or does eBay turn and look the other way?

Thanks!

When someone reports you they'll end your auctions.

So it might be a week, it might be a year, but somewhere down the link some competitor selling a similar item will turn your hiney in. They give you your listing fees back, but you lose a weeks worth of time in your auctioning process.

We have one user who puts just a text link and a one or two line description of us in their signature to their email and it works very well for them.
