What is a good lead time for Sunday ebay auction?

I use 8 seconds and add around 15 seconds on Sunday between 5:30 and 8 PM PST. Other busy times are are on the hour, half, and quarter during the week and other times on Sunday. I usually add 10 seconds then.

I use a 6 second lead time and win every auction 99.9½% of the time.

Glad you do, but as you see, this person didn't get the bid in on time. If you happen to hit a really busy time, this can happen. I too, have not had a problem.

I've found that a 5 sec lead will win an item for me (unless I've placed my snipe too low, but that's another problem). So many auctions, so little time to snipe!

Welcome to our forum! Several people here do use 5 seconds during normal times with success.

I'll suggest 60 seconds. Can anyone guess why?

60 seconds could still seem like a snipe to most and you would be very sure of your bid making it to eBay in time. There have been several post lately about 15 and 20 second bids never making it. > Here < and > Here <.

If the auction is tight and bids are very close (3 bids within one increment), the last bidder will lose, even if they have the highest bid.

How did I do?

Seriously though, I'd stick to 15 seconds or so for Sunday evening. It's always a gamble.
