Quote"PriceMiner™ is the most comprehensive pricing tool in the world" unquote. That's on their home page. It looks bollocks to me.
I have registered at www.priceminer.com after seeing their advert in Miller's International Antiques Price Guide 2006, because they seem to be sponsored or at least connected to ebay - at least their advert suggests it. They are powered by Goantiques.com.
I have paid for a one year registration, and after two days of using it to find the value of art pieces from artists on Ebay... well 90% of my searches (5 or 6 searches) came back with a 'no return' answer! The artists I searched for however are listed in Artprice.com...
Which means it is a total waste of time... and I should have registered to artprice.com instead.
So I emailed support at priceminer.com and asked for cancelation and refund (two days after I registered).
They are 'unable to refund' and that's 'because I have paid for one year', but I can 'still cancel if I want to'.
Does anyone knows them? Are they in business since a long time or is it a new venture? Are they really an Ebay affiliated or sponsored company?
In England where I live, per law a comnpany has obligation to refund an unhappy customer if he requests so wihtin a week after buying the god or service. No question asked. Isn't there such a law in the USA?
In any case I find the position of Priceminer suspicious. Most established internet business won't hesitate to give refund in such a situation to preserve their image and repute.
Any advice?
