Well I got charged even though my bid was manual!

I wasn't expecting to be around at the time the auction finished so I added a snipe.. It turned out that I was around so I tried to cancel the snipe but it failed, but I bid manually on ebay about 50 seconds before the auction finished. Both my manual bid and snipe were set to $725. eBay showed that I was the high bidder immediately after my manual bid.

Auction sniper still took the credit AND charged me for it.. $7.25.. The ebay item is 270513984366 - take a look at the bid history and times for yourself.. My lead time was set to 12 seconds.

So, no, in theory you won't be charged, but in practice, yes you will be.
