What's with the stupid splash screen all the time now??

What's with the splash screen all the time now? When If I am already logged in and I want to go to MY SNIPES, that's where I want to go directly, not to some intermediate point.

There doesn't seem to be any way to fix or opt out of this either. This has been happening since the system was *improved*....
