Thanks for the explanation Chatter and yes Rick, I did glance at that link before I asked my questions but it really didn't answer them.
Chatter, my real main problem is not that I placed a sniping bid to be my highest, it's that the snipe itself was never even ATTEMPTED to be placed. I'm not seeing the proof that it actually had been placed as I checked the auction's history and found that my bid never even came up. I looked at the times of the winners bids to see that my snipe could have been placed in between the bid lower than mine and the winners bid as it was within the 5 second lead time of auctions end.
Is it not correct that even if I don't win, that my sniping bid should've still be placed and showing up on the auction?
How does this work?
