I understand what a snipe is. I'm not sure why you're explaining to me the "snipe". It's easy for me to see what an opening price is and to determine my "snipe", the maximum amount I'm willing to pay. Of course the myriad thousands of others that could potentially bid more "live" or snipe more on any other program could win the item. Why are you explaining snipes to me or anyone else? My dillema is that the program is essentially telling me I have the wrong user name and ID and patently that's wrong.

I was trying to explain to you the likeness between a snipe and a proxy bid! I thought it might help you understand what you were asking about the bids placed and not placed. You did address two issues, I believed, but, I guess not. Hope you have success.
