Using AuctionSniper without Watching Item on Ebay

I'm a long time auctionsniper user, but have a question. i'm trying to win an auction - but its a gift and i don't want anyone to see what i bought. my family uses my ebay account sometimes. i just searched for the ebay item on auctionsniper with the item number and set up a snipe. however, i am not watching the item on ebay itself. on auctionsniper it appears in my snipes and says 'ready' but i just want to make sure everything will work as normal. thanks for your help, confirmation that my snipe will work without watching the item on ebay- thanks!!
