Urban-sniper, let me clarify one thing for you: AS submits whatever your maximum bid is; in the example you gave, £107. But you said that one increment should do the trick so, although your bid would actually be £107, you should win for £84. (But if it takes more than one increment to win you'll be glad you bid your max.) And yes, AS works just fine with UK eBay.

When you use AS your bid is always in the same currency that the auction is using, and it is treated exactly the same way by eBay as if you had entered it yourself, manually. This includes eBay using the remainder of your £107 bid as a hidden proxy reserve which will not be applied unless it's necessary to keep you on top.
