Be careful; the U.S. is also shaded. But then, Europe (including the French, now called Patriot, fries makers), South Africa, Japan, Canada, Turkey, a chunk of Indochina, and most of South America are shaded.

I’d say the British Empire, but the absence of shading for India and way too much shading for the West screws up that statement. But, it could still be considered a British Empire of sorts – it’s the Empire of Teletubbies. Here’s the text: “The Teletubbies are a global programme success.
