Time difference

Whilst attemting a snipe I had both ebay and auctionsniper pages open. The trouble was that the Ebay site was 30 sec ahead of the sniper site.
Yes I was refreshing the page and it was consistanly 30 sec behind for the last 5 min of the auction. Subsequently my bid did was not entered.
Any ideas?
