It means that there is supposed to be an image there but it isn't there!

Reasons:
1. Broken link
2. Connection so slow the browser gave up waiting!
3. etc

Solutions:
1. Right click on (not there) image and choose 'show picture'
2. F5 to refresh page
3. Send irate email to webmaster
