A seller (or buyers, for that matter) complaining about snipers just show their ignorance of how proxy bidding works.
It is not the last bid that wins, but the highest. If people would just place the highest bid they are willing to give for something they would not loose so much to the snipers among us.
But people don't do that, and that is the psychology that I use to win auctions.
The only legitimate gripe sellers would have with sniping, would be that it avoids bidding wars that drive prices up.
Out of my 1300 odd transactions on eBay, I've never had a seller upset at my snipe wins. I would think the majority don't ever look at the time a bid was placed, they are just happy it sold.
