Hey Christine,
I always delete everything as well, I use Search and Destroy. It is strange that you are getting spyware in your *My docs* area. If you want to be safe, I would delete all but the stuff in my doc's (does it mention a sub catergory or anything?).

Also, give your PC a full tidy up with Disk Cleanup and then defrag the bugger. Always speeds mine up some.
