Sniping something I have already bid on?

Hello everyone, newbie here!!

Sorry I know this has been done a million times before, but I'm having trouble understanding the answer!!

I have already placed a bid through eBay on something, my maximum was £14.00 and it's currently at £12.00 with me as the highest bidder so far (it closes tomorrow).

BUT, my friend has just introduced me to this AS thing, and I would like to use it on my item, but what will happen?....
