The difference, Rick, to use your scenario, is that our man set his top price and then whinged it was too much - he was totally in charge of his max spend. In your scenario, the 'babe' might just sober up in time and realise her mistake, forcing you into a(nother) night alone. That would be like the widget screaming "no, I don't want you to buy me..."
