Madamhusker,

Thank you for your question. I see that your maximum bid for the item you lost was lower than the winning bidder's maximum. This is known as being outbid.

So no matter when your bid was placed, you would have lost the auction because someone else bid higher than your maximum amount.

From looking at the auction I'm sure that you were out bid by someone who was also sniping, but had placed a higher maximum bid than you.
