Christi, I may know what happened. Twice I have lost bids on baby / infant items. I don't know for sure on the first, but on the second lost item (which just happened), eBay is posting a safety warning about recalled items. Following eBay's reference to CPSC, it says "by clicking here". The word "here" contains a link to the CPSC screen. Below this information is eBay's usual item title, your max bid amount, etc. followed by the confirm bid box which must be clicked to complete the bid. Until Auction Sniper proves otherwise, I think the Auction Sniper bid is taking the path following the "here" for safety (which would explain why my bid has died for two different auctions). Were any of the other "non bid complaints" for baby items?
Until I know otherwise, I will always make at least one bid to see if this CPSC screen comes up. When it does, I will plan to place my bids myself. However, I may "test" Auction Sniper and also use it. Then if I have only placed one bid, I will know that Auction Sniper failed me, but I won anyway...
