If I'm going to bid...I'll put on a bid, but I won't max it until the end as when someone bids then ebay automatically puts my bid higher...then if the other person does the same, I get into a bidding war whether I like it or not...and all it's done is raise the price...If I waited till the end (as it would by using auction sniper) it doesn't keep going up ...if it's only the two of us bidding, it maes a big difference...then when I do go to put the bid in, they don't have time to start bid war...same as by using sniper...sort of a self sniper...But this is better as I don't have to stay glued to my computer...
