A quick side note... remembering oleo and the color buttons has more to do with where you live than age. Ontario, Canada lifted its ban on "butter colored" margarine in 1994. Colored margarine may still be illegal in the province of Quebec. The laws were a result of lobbying by dairy farmers who didn't want poor consumers to be misled into thinking the stuff was butter.
Unilever, a major maker of margarine, has applealed the law to the Supreme Court of Canada. It was expected to be heard this summer but I have not yet heard the decision.
