why bother setting a 3 or 4 if the system is set to a default anyway? I have had success but today lost an auction and noticed the bid went in 8 seconds ahead and two people outbid me. I did some research and almost all of my bids I lost since joining went in 8 to 9 seconds ahead of time, my snipes are set at 3. Having heard from support I understand they (the software)would rather bid than lose than not get a bid in but why bother letting us choose 3, 4 or even 5 seconds if they are going to bid 8 to 9 seconds ahead. And I do disagree with some here if I see a bid at 8 seconds there is enough time to hit a manual, the one I lost today the high bidder was not proxy he or she bid after my bid was placed by the software. Oh well.
