I typically list items so they will close between 6:00 - 10:00pm Sunday nights (central standard time).
I list items with the knowledge that most people are still bidding manually and if they are going to try to snipe, may try to snipe manually as well.
As Rick mentioned, it would be less likely that someone would stay up into the wee hours of the morning to place a last minute bid.
(is that what you meant Rick?)
