Hello Mrs. M. and Lexie,

That doesn't sound too intimidating. I could probably figure out how to plug the USB cable into the computer with a minimum of panic.

The scanner is a Umax Astranet iA101. I did manage to figure out how to scan pictures and save them to the My Pictures section on the computer, but when I tried to e-mail the pictures from there to a friend he said I'd saved them wrong. He said the last letters (.jpg or whatever they were) were wrong and he couldn't see or open the pictures. Have you any idea what he was talking about or what went wrong?
