Digital Camera's are really easy to use Christine. Mrs M is referring to her card reader on her lap top I believe. I dont have a laptop but there are 2 ways I know of using digi cams on your PC.

You can either use the USB cable that will plug directly into the camera, or you can buy an external card reader. Both are really simple, you just take the pics, pull the card out and stick it in the reader OR plug the cable into your camera. XP software will automatically read either devices and ask you what you want to do.

*Most* digi's will come with their own picture editing software.

What kinda scanner do you have?
