Hi, Orubin. Glad to hear you didn't lose out in that transaction. But you can't really make a blanket judgment against Paypal based on that incident. It's not any different than if the crook had gotten a hold of another person's credit card and used it thru Billpoint or C2it or any other electronic payment service.

Actually, the fact that Paypal caught onto the scam and reversed the charges, is a testament to their ability to protect their customers! Smile
I use Paypal whenever possible. If it had been my account that somebody had compromised and used, I would expect nothing less from Paypal! They did the right thing by getting the money back for the victim. That's part of their fraud protection.

Any merchant, no matter how large or small, will tell you there is always a risk of taking a bad check, a fraudulent credit card, or what have you. Fortunately, on eBay, that risk significantly diminished in comparison to the "real world." Wink
