Paying AS

As a newcomer of one week's standing, perhaps I've got it wrong, but it appears that you either:
a) use PayPal to pay for snipes, which is an organisation lots of people appear to have reservations about
or b)Trust Auction Sniper with unlimited access to your credit card (and also to ebay in the process!)

Now I'm not saying that the owners of AS will do a runner having spent the odd $million or two on ebay, but surely there must be a more confidence inducing way to organise payment?

Why can't I just pay AS $20 or so and be reminded when I am down to my last couple of dollars?

I wonder how many people genuinely want to use your services, but are, understandably, worried about the current payment system.
