Dave, odd that you should raise this topic, as I listened to a history of her life on the radio as I was driving to the Forest of Dean the other day.
This is the sad little tale behind your record.
Evidently Jeanne Deckers or Sister Luc-Gabrielle as she was known, left the Convent and released a second record. The public taste for an ex singing nun proved fickle and she rapidly faded from the limelight.
She vocally advocated birth control and offended the Church, the Catholic public and the powers that be.
The end result was that the Government claimed a large sum in back tax from her (rather than the Church) for the income generated by this record. She couldn't raise the cash, and after a re-released Dominique failed, committed suicide in 1985.
I must now look up my original tape recording, made when I was a teenager! I must add, I have never played it since! Not one I would wish to buy!
