I used auctionsniper and lost a bid, but the timing in the ebay bid history does not make sense to me. The bidding end time was 11:27:27. My snipe time was set up to be 5 seconds prior to bid end, or 11:27:22. The actual ebay bid history goes as follows:
9:24:24 $77 by bidderA
11:27:20 $85 by me
11:27:10 $86 by bidderC
My high bid was set at $85, so I understand why I lost, and I understand that the 5 second offset request gets modified based anticipated delays. I don't uderstand why bidderC won at 11:27:10, when according to the history, my bid did not go in until 10 seconds later. I would have thought bidderC would have shown a bid of $78 at 11:27:10 since that would ahve been the next logical increment above the existing $77, then my bid would have won at $79 at 11:27:20. What am I missing in understanding this?
