Reply to "My snipe wasn't placed -- lost auction!!!"

I placed a snipe on eBay Item #7354497238 which closed last evening---usually, if my snipe bid is outbided, I receive an email (or multiple emails, depending upon the course of the bidding) that my bid has been outbidded, even if my snipe is 5 minutes prior to end of auction. This is the 2nd time within several days that I have lost auctions because AS never emailed me concerning bid amounts over my sniped bids. AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY!!!
