Has anyone done any research on bid amounts? For example: What percentage of bidders bid in round dollars, how many bid to the 50 cent mark, how many bid by adding 1 cent, 2 cents, 3 cents etc?

Thought that if someone had some data out there it might help me win more auctions - I have missed out ona number just by 1 or 2 cents and have changed my bidding practice to use 7, 8 and 9 cents above my theoretical bid maximum. It has given me far greater success.
