Maximum bid or just enough?

Hi all,

There is a nice item on Ebay that I am after. I have used AS before and it has served me well.

However the auction ends tonight, and I am going out, and it will be a leap of faith to leave the biding in the hands of AS.

I have already placed a bid for the item - but the amount I entered was not higher than the previous high bidder - so he is still winning.

My question is, given 7 seconds before the end of bidding - will AS big enough to win the auction - or does it just snipe the once and the original bidder will automaticly win since his original big is higher than the snipe?

Or will snipe continue until : I reach my max bid, I become the highest bidder, the time runs out?

Thanks, I am just a little nervous at taking this leap of faith.
