Max Offer

Hi Guys .
I've a doubt about the "Max Offer" module :
If i put for example , 5,00$ , my offer will be 5,00$ or lower if the other bidder put (another example) 2,00$? My offer will be 2,50$?

I hope i was clear . And sorry for the English , but i'm Italian :P
