OK as an update I emailed support and AS refunded the snipe fee and the insurance fee. As a point of info, they said that usually the refund is initialized by the buyer leaving neutral or negative feedback for the transaction but since that scenario was not the situation I was in, that info didn't apply to me. At any rate, thanks for the info.
