If the winner won't pay

Steve, Rick, or Chatter, I'd like your opinion on something, please.
I have a snipe set to go off in a little less than an hour. The current high bidder has a feedback of 13 and one negative because he won an item then wouldn't answer the seller's e-mails or pay. If he wins and doesn't pay, that means I win the item if I'm the next highest bid. There's another identical item going off in about 22 hours. If I don't win this one, I'd like to bid on it, because it'll probably go at a good price since the seller is a newbie and doesn't know how to post a picture. I don't want two. What do you think? If I am the runner-up tonight, should I hold off for a while or ?
