How do you sync time with eBay to insure you place bids at correct time?

Just want to know how AS sync's the time with that of eBay...after all, it's THEIR time that determines when an auction closes! Five seconds is not a lot of time, so your system has to be right in time with eBay's in order for this to work as intended. Can nyone elaborate!
