It's true, but think of all the people they help to employ. Kind of like bad guys. Without the bad guys what would the cops, judges and jailors be doing? Even lawyers have families. And, without trials, there be less news, which would mean less advertising (or perhaps more advertising). Without cops there’d be no cop cars, which would lower sales to auto manufacturers.

Of course, the really frequent law breakers would stop using up all that paper for speeding tickets and parking tickets.
