I hoping to win an auction that finishes on the 18th at 11:00pm and wanted some advice. The item I am interestede in has had 4 bids placed on it so far. I haven't made a bid through EBay yet.

Someone suggested that I try using AS. My question is - if I enter the item # in AS now will it automatically place a bid against the item in EBay straight away, or will AS wait until my designated lead time?

My second question is - how do i know if my maximum bid is enough to win the item. Maybe I'm not supposed to know and hope that luck is on my side.

Yep - I have a third question. I just wanted to know if I use AS will it bid just an increment on the item (say 50c) or will it bid my maximum?

any guidance appreciated?
