Hi all....Mike the drive to your destination is so picturesque thanks for sharing.
There we were at 1732ft above sea level, for a pub lunch on Sunday.
81 miles from home - we all had a coffee and bacon buttie in a pub in Leeds, and set off at 10:00 through the Yorkshire Dales - Airedale, Wensleydale (stopping for a diddle and some mulled wine and cake) then over Buttertubs Pass to Swaledale, getting ever higher and bleaker.
It was a drizzerable day (Mikeism) about 5 degrees C.
Finally, the 1 in 2 point something double hairpin took us up through West Stonesdale and thence to Tan Hill, where there was some snow on the road.
As we were having chilli-con-carne later at home, I had another one in the pub!
There are many nice things in life that you can have more than once in a day!
Then, a quick blast down the A1/M1/M62 at 80 mph home. Amazing what 602cc will do with 4 people up. That's it until January 2007.
