I expect we'll add a few more as the younger kids start their families. That will be sweet. I hope I can keep up with it all as well as you seem to be doing.
I used to think people who went on about their grandchildren were a bit dottie, maybe even pathetic, until I had my own. Now I get it.
When I was a younger mother, I loved my kids dearly, but I was also broke and busier than busy and far too occupied trying to get my own life to work. The days seemed to take forever to finish, and I had years and years ahead of me.
Now, I have a bit more time and money, and a lot more wisdom. I no longer take for granted the joyful laughter and delighted, open smiles of babies. I know the years fly fast, and each day is precious.
