I, too, have absolutely no desire to be forced to listen to others' private conversations, even if they are running commentaries on what they are doing.
Smoking should be banned where people eat; it already is in the Republic of Ireland, and in the UK fewer places are allowing it.
If the puff-and-cough brigade want all their food and clothes to smell of bonfires - fair enough, but I do not.
People who smoke while driving usually throw lit dimps out of the car window - cyclists must love them, and those who have to clean litter up and put out moorland fires. Don't they fit ashtrays in cars now?
