First Time...Clarify on Lead Time

Hey guys. Just wanted to clarify a few things. I've done a lot of research on these forums on lead times and have come across quite a few answers.

I have an auction that is ending on Sunday at 9:03 a.m. PST (12:03 p.m. Eastern) and I currently have my lead time set at 8. Some people say leave it at 5 some say 8 and some say even higher at peak times or even hour marks when auctions are ending. I also read that eBay has fixed a lot of the lag issues since the posts were made. I know that AS will also automatically delay the bid a few seconds if it detects there are some lag issues.

Is 8 seconds a good time to stick to still or should I lower it? Thanks in advance!
