ebay mistake?!?

Have any of you seen this before? I had a bid in (item#1365729002), and got a notice from ebay; "The seller ended this auction early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price." I promptly sent the seller the $ with Paypal. She returned the $ later, saying she had cancelled the auction. She immediately relisted the item for double the original total. After 4 emails (1 per week for 4 weeks) I left her negative feedback. She promptly left me negative feedback! Now, I have to pay a mediator to have the feedback removed. I tried a complaint with ebay, but didn't get a response. Any ideas?!?
